1st PhileKorea, Inc. was established on the 16^th, Feb 2000 by myself, Minbong Park (linkedin: )and my family as a regional dealer for Qiagen and Corbett (RotorGene™) products,

In 2006, Qiagen was willing to buy our company as the basis of Qiagen’s Korean subsidiary.
This was rejected by the board meeting because my brother and sister did not like me to become a lazy German shepherd in the mid of 30’s. Instead of selling my entire business, I decided to split Qiagen Korean business to Qiagen GmbH. So I established Qiagen Korea, Ltd., as a founding director and became General Manager of Qiagen Korea, Ltd. and gently transferred all Qiagen dedicated employees and certain visible/invisible assets related to Qiagen products distribution.

For 8 months period, I diligently worked for the setting and stabilizing Qiagen business in Korea and then I joined Corbett Life Science APAC business with two John Corbett (yes, they currently own biomolecularsystems.com) with ownership. But again this business was acquired by Qiagen. After finished 2 years moving around China, Japan,and Taiwan, I came back to Seoul and myself settled down my family and have been operating 1^st PhieKorea in Seoul Korea.

It represents around 20 foreign suppliers including New England BioLabs(NEB) products.

Makes revenue more than 13 millions US$ per year

Employees around 34 people.

Has 2 offices Seoul and Daejeon in Korea.

lab service business has operated well equipped around.

One of our business definitions is focusing on communications with Korean bio scientists and clinicians having a professional knowledge.
