PromethION
PromethION offers the real-time, long-read, direct DNA and RNA sequencing technology.
You may find PromethION suitable for large scale projects such as population-scale sequencing or plant genomics, The PromethION 24 systems offer the ability to run 24 flow cells respectively.
The system allows on-demand sequencing, using any flow cell at any time.
Users can start and stop running individual experiments as required, The PromethION 24 hardware can operate up to 24 flow cells at once.

Each PromethION flow cell allows up to 10,700 nanopores to be sequencing simultaneously

Using current chemistry (Nanopore R 10.4.1 / Library preparation kit v14), the best internal yield of a single flow cell is ~290 Gb.

- PromethION flow cells are compatible with PromethION 24 (and also PromethION Beta)
